Hamburgers En Route To Switzerland --an NES game made by Chris Read-- --Story-- You may not know this, but hamburgers can actually fly when they feel like it. One day, a group of hamburgers got together and decided to take a trip. But where would they go? They decided on Switzerland. But the evil milkshakes didn't want the hamburgers to go to Switzerland. So they recruited some pizza slices and tacos and they went out to stop the poor hamburgers from trying to get to Switzerland. Milkshakes can shoot onion rings out, and pizza slices can shoot out nachos, but what the other food didn't know is that burgers can shoot French fries out of themselves. --Enemies-- vanilla (white) milkshake - shoots all the time chocolate (brown) milkshake - may shoot at you strawberry (pink) milkshake - never shoots at you Press Start to start or pause in game and B to fire. Press the D-Pad to move around the screen. The burger will always shoot in front of itself. Slices of pizza start on level 5. They only shoot nachos downwards. Tacos start on level 8. they don't shoot but follow your vertical movement. enemies have three attack modes, chosen at randomly each time an enemy gets to the edge of the screen or shot: - move right to left - move right to left faster - move right to left and up/down. Once 50 enemies have passed, the level ends and you move on to the next one. --Lives-- if you touch an enemy (or its weapon), you'll lose a life and disappear for a second (and the enemies will stop shooting for a second as well.) When you are flashing, you are invisible. You only flash for a brief couple of seconds before you are vulnerable again. The number of lives you have remaining is after the word "lives," (and your score is after the word "score".) Chicken nuggets give you an extra life if you touch one. Shooting them will just give you one point. Hamburgers En Route To Switzerland is copyright 2021, Chris Read. Special thanks to the fine people who made all the tools I used to make the game with.
